My Two Caterpillars…..
A self described shy, slightly pigeon toed 3 year old baby girl dreamed of being a ballerina.  My ambition, then and now, was to make her dreams a reality.  I stumbled upon Marysville Performing Arts Centre, ironically, in their inaugural year.  No referral or word of mouth - just saw the name in an ad and signed her up.  Looking back it was a moment that defined the life of a now 11 year old blossoming ballerina.  Over the years, she has remained slightly pigeon toed but emerged from her “shyness”, gained a posture of confidence, sense of grace and invaluable body awareness.  All things that I am not convinced I could have taught her on my own. Heading into our tenth year at MPAC, I am overjoyed I enroll my second daughter, now 4 years old…..wanting to be just like her sister.  My two caterpillars turning into beautiful butterflies.

My gratitude goes to MPAC for their expertise, trustworthiness and compassion….teaching our children and leading by example.

I am very excited to begin our tenth year of dance at MPAC. When registering my daughter that first day I never imagined that I would one day join the MPAC staff.

I feel so grateful to be a part of the place where my daughter spends so much of her time. I have enjoyed watching her transform from a shy toddler crying on stage to a beautiful young dancer. Having worked here allowed me to share the experience with other dancers as well as getting to know many of our wonderful families and I am so happy to be a part of that. I am glad my daughter has a studio she feels good about, good enough to call it her "second home". I feel fortunate to have worked here.
